Letter to the editor: Unions have created a mess in the state of Wisconsin
Have you taken time to think through the mess we have in Wisconsin? Franklin Roosevelt and George Meany were both against public sector unions. Even though I disagree with both of them on most issues, I have to agree with them on this one.By Ken Hall , March 09, 2011

Letter to the editor: EFCA would build a wall between employers, workers
I have read the bill synopsis and have seen a lot of propaganda both supporting and opposing the Employee Free Choice Act, and frankly I find it hard to fathom that such legislation is even being considered in Congress.By Connie Feist, Minot , April 04, 2009
Letter to the editor: Nation’s workers deserve passage of EFCA now
Our debt-based economy has been out-of-whack for a long time. It’s too bad it took a financial meltdown on Wall Street for our politicians to realize that working families have been hurting for years.By Don Filler, Harvey, N.D. , March 20, 2009
Letter to the editor: EFCA would help workers, strengthen our economy
We all know our economy is struggling right now. Millions of workers are getting laid off, businesses are closing, and working families are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet. Now that President Barack Obama has signed an economic recovery plan to create new jobs or save the ones we have from disappearing, we need to make sure they are good jobs that can support a family. One of the best ways to do that is to join a union.By Ronald Tokach, Mandan, N.D. , March 18, 2009
Letter to the editor: Big businesses are distorting facts on EFCA legislation
There’ve been a lot of misleading ads on TV lately about the Employee Free Choice Act and the secret ballot, and I’d like to set the record straight. Big corporations are spreading misinformation (one could say they’re lying) by claiming that the EFCA would take away ballot elections from workers trying to form a union. That is simply not true.By Kal Gabel, Bismarck , March 14, 2009
Facts are being distorted on Employee Free Choice Act
Over the past few months, I have been watching the ads on TV, listening to radio talk shows, reading letters to the editor and doing my own research on the Employee Free Choice Act.By Bruce Walker, Minot , March 10, 2009
Letter to the editor: EFCA bill attacked unfairly by nation’s business owners
The bill titled the Employee Free Choice Act has been getting hammered on the air waves and by some letters to the editor. The EFCA would make it easier for workers to form unions and work to raise their pay and benefits. The alternative to organizing is to accept whatever your benevolent boss decides to pay you. For the most part that’s paying as little as possible — imagine that.By John Risch, Bismarck, N.D. , January 03, 2009
