Colleges enlist parents to curb problem drinking
At Virginia Tech, where tailgating and raucous apartment complex parties are time-honored rituals, university officials are turning increasingly to Mom and Dad to curb problem underage drinking. School Board looks at drug, alcohol policy
The Jamestown Public School Board suggested making changes to its drug and alcohol in the workplace policy — including notifying law enforcement if an employer suspects an employee is using or is in possession of illicit drugs. The board reviewed its drug and alcohol policy at its regular meeting Monday. The board reviews policies like those on drug and alcohol at meetings regularly.
