Opinion corner: Plenty at stake for Pack, Purple
I stand by the assumption that no football fan worth their weight in pork rinds would have predicted the Minnesota Vikings have a shot at the playoffs this year.By Ben Rodgers , December 29, 2012

Opinion corner: Down to the wire for Vikings
The last week of the regular season is all about the “haves” and the “have-nots.” Anyone with the slightest chance of reaching the playoffs is automatically a “have” while the rest are “have-nots.”By Chris Aarhus For The Sun , December 28, 2012

Vikings vying for playoffs
One year ago, Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier approached the postgame news conference and was ready to bask in the glory of a pre-Christmas victory that snapped a six-game losing streak, even though star running back Adrian Peterson’s career was in doubt following a major knee injury.December 26, 2012

Peterson pursues rushing record against Houston
Adrian Peterson chose No. 29 for his high school jersey because he idolized Eric Dickerson growing up in Palestine, Texas. Peterson switched to No. 28 in college when 29 wasn’t available. But he never stopped emulating Dickerson, and always hoped he could one day break his NFL single-season rushing record.December 22, 2012

Opinion Corner: Peterson chasing record, MVP
If Adrian Peterson wasn’t a household name before, he is now. The Associated Press continues its onslaught of Adrian Peterson stories and deservedly so. He stands 294 yards away from breaking the NFL single-season rushing record. He should have the NFL’s comeback player of the year award locked up (my apologies Peyton Manning) and the MVP award will be dependent on these last two games. He’ll have to do something special.By Chris Aarhus Sun Sports Writer , December 22, 2012

Opinion corner: Vikings keeping hope alive
Cue the Bee Gees because Minnesota is “stayin’ alive” in the NFC playoff picture. Whether that joke is cheesy or not makes no difference because the message remains the same: Minnesota still has a shot at the playoffs. With all of the preseason doubt, the negativity around Christian Ponder’s poor play, and team’s overall inconsistency, this Vikings team, like Glad plastic wrap, is still somehow clinging to playoff hope.By Casey Johnson For The Sun , December 18, 2012

Coach getting tired of Kluwe’s antics
Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe has made a name for himself as much for his willingness to take outspoken stands on issues that are important to him as he has for pinning opponents inside the 10-yard line.December 14, 2012
