JC striker O’Connor cited for individual honor
A successful season for the Jamestown College men’s soccer team ended with another first.
Freshman Dominic O’Connor became the first Jimmie men’s player to be named to the NAIA Unaffiliated Group Team.
O’Connor, a freshman striker from Lancashire, Great Britain, scored eight goals and had three assists as the Jimmies set a program-record for wins in a season with an 8-7-3 mark.

McIntyre named Musician of Month
The Jamestown High School Music Department chose Matthew McIntyre as the Musician of the Month for December.
McIntyre is involved in JHS Orchestra, JHS Choir and Jazz Band and plays bass for the Vocal Jazz Ensemble. He has been selected for Northwest Music Festival and University of North Dakota Honor Orchestra for the 2009-10 school year. He performed in the Orchestra Festival in West Fargo, N.D., and also performs with the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra.
He is the son of Michael and Cheryl McIntyre.

The Jamestown High School Music Department has announced that Sarah Muhs has been named Musician of the Month for January.
Muhs is involved in band, choir and show choir. She has attended International Music Camp several times. She accompanies the Jamestown High School Choir on piano.

Keenan earned English honors
Marie Keenan has been chosen as the Jamestown High School English Department’s student of the month for December. She was nominated because of her strong writing skills and vocabulary, and analytical skills. In addition to her strengths in English, she maintains a 3.8 GPA and is in involved choir and enjoys playing guitar.
She is the daughter of Linda and Gerald Keenan and was nominated by her English 3 teacher, Shelly Moltzen.
