Freedom Resource Center for Independent Living Inc. and the Jamestown Mayors Partnership Committee are hosting a free public picnic to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the National Buffalo Museum in Jamestown.
There are few Americans who would deny that the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 has been effective. Signed into law by President George H.W. Bush 20 years ago this week, the act has changed for the better the lives of citizens with disabilities while instilling in governments and businesses the responsibility to provide access for all citizens.
Freedom Resource Center for Independent Living, Inc. and the Jamestown Mayor’s Partnership Committee are hosting a free public picnic to celebrate people’s abilities and the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the National Buffalo Museum in Jamestown.
