BISMARCK— North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm has revoked the insurance license of Patricia Howard, a Dunn Center, N.D., insurance agent, who engaged in deceitful and dishonest practices against her insurance clients. The revocation bars Howard from selling, soliciting or negotiating insurance in North Dakota.
Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm announced Tuesday that the North Dakota Insurance Department’s State Health Insurance Counseling program is holding two free Turning 65 events in June. The events are aimed at helping people new to Medicare understand the process and the options available to them.
Adam Hamm, North Dakota insurance commissioner has revoked the insurance license of Rex Graves, who had done business as Graves Insurance Agency, of Jamestown. The revocation was effective May 15 and follows a cease and desist order dated April 21 barring Graves from the business of selling insurance.
Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm says North Dakota’s teen-age drivers should go through a longer process of gradually obtaining their drivers’ licenses, and that it would save lives and lower insurance premiums.
Nearly a quarter of the state’s fatal accidents involve teen-age drivers, he said.
Hamm said there needs to be another, intermediate, step in the process currently in state law.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota says one of its key financial ratings has been lowered after the state Insurance Department rejected its request to raise rates. Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm says the company is financially healthy.
