The North Dakota Game and Fish Department has announced that the state's 2012 paddlefish snagging season will close to any additional harvest at 1 p.m. Central Daylight Time, Friday, May 11, to protect the population level of the fish.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Anglers taking advantage of this year's mild spring are snagging plenty of walleye from the Missouri River despite a drop in the number of baitfish caused by last year's flooding, a state fisheries biologist said.
