Daytona International Speedway is getting another facelift, this one considerably bigger than the last.
Three years after a complete repaving project, the famed track is overhauling the frontstretch to enhance the “fan experience.”
Fun fact: Incumbent President of the United States George Washington was re-elected as commander in chief back in 1792.
Just how does that correlate to the action at Jamestown Speedway on Saturday night? Well, the drivers who finished 1-2-3-4 in the 20-lap WISSOTA Modified feature have something to do with it.
The twisted steel frames and torn sheet metal of cars belonging to Jamestown’s Greg Friestad, Gackle’s Jordan Zillmer and New Rockford’s Brandon Gussiaas silently laid in the infield at Jamestown Speedway on Saturday night.

One top 10 finish at a time, Earnhardt built and built before a four year and 143-race winless streak was snapped; a legion of fans sent into a frenzy as NASCAR’s most popular driver finally gave them all a reason to go wild.
LONG POND, Pa. (AP) — Jimmie Johnson walked into the media center holding his daughter’s hand, his pregnant wife right behind them. Their second child is due in September, right around the time of the final race before the Chase field is set.
Jeff Gordon isn’t quite ready to call it a career.
Not this year, at least.
He has one of his favorite tracks on tap and a sponsorship deal locked up for another three years, good news for Gordon and everyone at Hendrick Motorsports.
Danica Patrick sides with her boss over her boyfriend.
Patrick laughed at the idea that Tony Stewart (her boss) wanted to choke Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (her boyfriend) for blocking in last week’s race at Charlotte. In fact, she might have helped Stewart put his hands around Stenhouse’s neck. Patrick had her race spoiled when she was wrecked by Stenhouse in their first on-track accident since they announced they were dating.
