Minot withstood a furious late-game rally from Jamestown to claim a 54-49 win in Friday's consolation round of the North Dakota Class A state high school girls basketball tournament being held at the Fargodome.
A team from Jamestown High School won the 2011 state LifeSmarts championship in Bismarck today, the second time they’ve won the competition in as many years. The win earns the five students a place in the National Finals to be held April 30-May 1 in Los Angeles. The Ray High School team placed second and the other team from Jamestown high school took third place.
