A special supper to promote local foods is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the Bowdon Community Center, 121 Warrington Ave., in Bowdon.
“We’re looking for folks in a five-county area who are interested in developing and implementing a local foods initiative in central North Dakota,” said Agriculture Commissioner Roger Johnson. “It will be an opportunity to learn more about the local foods movement and what you can do to promote it.”
Residents of the Wells County town of Bowdon are trying to raise money to buy the town’s grocery and run it as a community cooperative.
