Kelliher makes Moorhead stop

Margaret Anderson Kelliher made her first stop in Moorhead Monday as the Democratic-endorsed governor candidate. And though Minnesota Democrat-Farmer-Labor delegates endorsed Anderson Kelliher Saturday night at the party convention, she still faces two opponents in an Aug. 10 primary. One of those men, Matt Entenza, was also in Moorhead Monday.

Dems file complaint on Berg: They say he didn’t list his stake in a Bismarck company on list

The director of North Dakota’s Democratic Party filed a complaint Tuesday against Republican U.S. House candidate Rick Berg, saying Berg did not list his stake in a Bismarck company on a lengthy list of his business interests. Berg’s campaign manager, Tom Nelson, said the omission was a mistake that was being remedied.

Candidates declare for elections: Friday is filing deadline

With just four days remaining until the filing deadline, incumbents and challengers have filed to put their name on the June primary ballot here. “The process is moving at us quickly,” said Noel Johnson, chief operating officer and election administrator for Stutsman County. “The deadline for filing is 4 p.m. Friday at the courthouse for county or state offices, at City Hall for city offices or at the school business office for the school board.”

Sand crashes plane near here

North Dakota Republican congressional candidate Duane Sand says he escaped serious injury when he crashed and flipped his plane in a cornfield after its engine stopped. “I’m just glad to be alive,” said Sand, who suffered a scraped forehead, a bruised left hip and some other bruises. “It was a pretty ugly crash ... I’m sore, but I’m physically fit.”
