Movie Gallery in Jamestown will be going out of business.
The closing is being carried out as part of the restructuring and chapter 11 bankruptcy organizing filing the company completed on Feb. 2, according to the company’s Web site.
Signs announcing the coming closing and sale of inventory were hanging in the windows this weekend. Store manager Michelle Hehr said she could not comment to news media on the closing.
Extended Stay Hotels LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Monday, citing massive debt stemming from its 2007 acquisition by the Lightstone Group and a sharp drop in business travel due to the recession.
Motor Coach Industries Inc. says it has emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection with a new majority owner.
The Schaumburg, Ill.-based company operates a bus plant in Pembina, in northeast North Dakota that employs about 245 people. MCI said in a statement that a federal bankruptcy court approved a reorganization plan on Jan. 28.
