A Fargo man was arrested Saturday night in Cavalier County after a high-speed chase and a collision with a county sheriff’s patrol cruiser that ultimately ended when the suspect’s vehicle plunged into the reservoir at Mount Carmel Dam.

Allen “Sparky” Chase, owner of Spark’s Trailer Sales, recently purchased the Uncle Bob’s Trailer 10-acre property located on Interstate 94 west of Jamestown. Spark’s Trailer Sales has nine locations from Florida to Canada. The corporate headquarters for Spark’s Trailers is located in Battle Lake, Minn.
Formal charges are pending against a 21-year-old man who led Farmington police on a chase, then physically attacked an officer Saturday morning.
Douglass Alan Schell Jr. was being held in the Dakota County jail on $75,000 bail and is facing possible charges including fleeing an officer, obstructing the legal process, fourth degree assault and driving after suspension.
