On Friday and Saturday, the North Dakota Highway Patrol, along with the Jamestown Police Department and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department, will be conducting an alcohol saturation in Stutsman County to deter and detect impaired drivers on the federal, state, county and local roadways in Stutsman County.
An internal review of the Obama administration’s own plan to spend tens of millions of dollars upgrading little-used border checkpoints ahead of busier ones justified its choices, but a senior Democratic senator said he will ask congressional investigators for a separate audit.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol Southeast Region will conduct sobriety checkpoints at undisclosed locations in Cass and Ransom counties, on Saturday.
The purpose of the checkpoint is to deter and detect impaired drivers and not to make a large number of arrests.
Snowmobile enforcement checks are being conducted by the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department at various locations along snowmobile trails in Cavalier, Pembina and Walsh counties from Jan. 30-Feb. 1.
