Jeanne Schumacher of Napoleon used those odd circumstances to give her a chance to pursue her interest in writing. Schumacher will be signing the book, which she also illustrated, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Great Stories Book Shoppe in Jamestown.
Gov. John Hoeven says North Dakota has received federal approval to expand eligibility for a children’s health insurance program.
The higher eligibility level will allow uninsured children in families with net incomes of up to 150 percent of the federal poverty level to qualify for the Healthy Steps program, Hoeven said.
