Gov. John Hoeven today announced that the Jamestown High School Choir and the Lewis and Clark Berthold High School Senior Band have been selected to serve as the 2008-2009 Governor’s Official State Band and Chorus. Both organizations will perform during the joint session of the 61st North Dakota Legislative Assembly Jan. 6 in Bismarck.
Dakota Harmony, a men’s chorus from the Fargo-Moorhead area, will perform in concert in Froemke Auditorium on the VCSU campus at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Adult admission to the program is $5, with students and children admitted free of charge.
Gov. John Hoeven is encouraging school, community and church bands and choirs across North Dakota to submit an application to serve as the 2008-2009 Governor’s Official State Band and Chorus.
