Construction workers were putting the final touches on the modular medical office building at Jamestown Regional Medical Center this week.
The crews planned to have everything in place for the arrival of the hospital clinic staff and the Jamestown Veterans Affairs Community Based Outreach Clinic starting on Friday. The clinic facility is scheduled to see its first patients Sunday.
FARGO — A Catholic chapel focused on prayers to end abortion will open in an office building neighboring North Dakota’s only abortion clinic.
The Catholic Diocese of Fargo will open the Visitation Chapel at 502 1st Ave. N. on June 1. The chapel will offer Mass at 8 a.m. Wednesdays, followed by Eucharistic adoration and recited prayers until 3:45 p.m. It will be locked the rest of the week.

Sanford Health-MeritCare now has ties with a system of rural clinics based in Oakes that serves seven communities in southeastern North Dakota.
Southeast Medical Center, led by a husband-and-wife physician team, will continue with all of its 45 employees and no immediate changes are expected, representatives of MeritCare and the rural clinic system said Wednesday.

An estimated 800 patients of the Dickinson VA clinic may have to travel elsewhere for care if it can’t secure a new care contract soon.
The community-based outpatient clinic has a contract with Great Plains Clinic to provide care, but it expires May 1.
The YMCA is hosting Mighty Mights Basketball for kids ages 4-7 Thursday evenings from 7-8 p.m. Feb. 4-March 11.
Fundamentals of basketball will be taught in a non-competitive atmosphere.

The Jamestown College volleyball program will be conducting winter clinics for girls in grades 5-12 beginning on Sunday, Jan. 31.
