The Capital City Coin Club will host its 41st Annual Trade Show April 10-11, at the Amvets Post #9, 2402 Railroad Ave., Bismarck. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Abraham Lincoln got a present Thursday for his 200th birthday — or, technically, 319 million presents.
The U.S. Mint released a redesigned penny to mark the bicentennial of Lincoln's birth. The Mint plans to start out by producing 319 million of the new coins.
The 49th annual Red River Valley Coin Show, the largest coin and stamp show between Minneapolis and Seattle, will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Doublewood Inn, Fargo. The show will have more than 50 tables that include U.S. and foreign coins and currency, U.S. stamps and other materials. Dealers from six states will be there. Sunday is Family Day, which includes free coins and coin books for children age 12 and younger. Persons interested in submitting displays for judging should call Mark at 701-297-0321.
