Valley City (N.D.) State University has held 117 commencement exercises in the past, generally recognizing students who graduated over the previous three semesters. But on Dec. 15, the university began a new tradition by holding a luncheon to honor the graduates of fall semester.
Jamestown College will present bachelor’s degrees to 180 graduating seniors during the school’s 103rd Commencement ceremony on May 9 at the James-town Civic Center. Baccalaureate is at 10:30 a.m. Commencement is at 2:30 p.m.
U.S. Sen. Byron Dorgan is scheduled to deliver the commencement address at Valley City State University’s 117th commencement exercises scheduled for 10 a.m. May 16 in Vangstad Auditorium on the VCSU campus.
“Valley City State University has earned a reputation as a great institution, and I was honored to receive an invitation to deliver a commencement address there,” Dorgan said.
