Jamestown Hospital recently entered into an agreement with Dr. Michael Dean, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon.
“Bringing an orthopedic surgeon will be a major enhancement to patient care. In addition, national data indicates that our economy will see an infusion of $2.3 million from inpatient and outpatient services. Clearly, this is a win-win for everyone,” said hospital CEO Marty Richman.
NEW RICHMOND, Wis. — A local pastor has authored a book to challenge Christians to live a more light-filled life.
“Radiance: If we are the light of the world, why is everything so dark?” was written by Randy Dean, pastor of Living Word Chapel in Forest, Wis.
“I’m pretty beside myself with happiness about this,” Dean said. “I’ve been aiming at writing a book for a long time.”

Esther Dean, 81, Jamestown, died, Aug. 7, 2010, at Oak Crossing Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, Minn.
Esther Amelia Murch was born Oct. 1, 1928, near Arthur, N.D., the daughter of Alice (Keller) and Sidney Murch Sr.
Scott Halvorson, son of Richard and Dorothy Halvorson of Jamestown, has been named dean of students of Columbia University School of General Studies in New York.
Halvorson has been at Columbia University since 1996. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1980 and earned his Bachelor of Arts from Jamestown College in 1984. He holds master’s degrees from Columbia, Harvard and Rutgers universities.
