Augustana College, Sioux Falls, S.D., has announced its dean’s list for the 2008 fall semester. Three area students made the list.
Those students, and their hometowns, are Katherine Gayle Johnson Jamestown, Jamie Vernon Martin, Valley City, N.D., and Krystal Irene Anderson, Verona, N.D.
A total of 1,221 students were named to the deans’ list at the University of North Dakota for the fall 2008 semester.
The list includes students whose grade point averages are in the top 15 percent of the enrollment in each of the university’s degree granting colleges and schools. A student must have completed no fewer than 12 semester hours of academic work for the semester, of which eight or more hours must be graded work rather than “satisfactory/unsatisfactory.”
Robert K. McMillan, son of Bill and Theresa McMillan of Jamestown, has earned the distinction of being named to the dean’s list for the 2008 fall semester at Saint John’s University. McMillan is a senior mathematics major at SJU.
Valley City State University has recognized the following area students with academic honors for the fall semester of 2008. The list includes students who have not restricted their names from publication.
Ashten Dunwoody of Oriska, N.D., has been named to the president’s list for the 2008 fall semester at Minnesota State Community and Technical College. To earn this scholastic achievement, a student must have completed 12 or more credits for the semester with a grade point of 3.5 or higher. The highest attainable average is a 4.0.
Several area students have been named to the Minnesota State University Moorhead dean’s list in recognition of academic achievement fall semester 2008. Students must maintain a 3.25 or higher grade point average and carry 12 graded credits to qualify for the list.
Keith Dawson, director for admission and records at Williston (N.D.) State College, has released the honor roll for the term just completed.
Denise Irene Page, Jamestown, was one of the students named to the dean’s list.
The North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton has named 362 students to its fall semester 2008 president’s honor list. The list recognizes students who have achieved grade point averages of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credit hours.
