About five, and with a little help from a few friends, a relatively harmless but rather humorous prank assumed a joyous dimension last week.
“In my 11 years here, I’ve never had anyone do anything like that,” said Bob Giesinger, a WHS custodian who works the 2 to 10:30 p.m. shift and regularly cleans the building’s music and athletic wing. “It was a real surprise. I just stood in awe.”

Now, the goodbyes.
There’s no rule, of course, about how long to keep a Christmas tree. In many homes, the tree goes out along with the old year. At the very least, it’s time for your tree to go when it starts to dry out.

I’m glad to see that more residents are decorating their yards with a Halloween theme. It takes the sting out of losing our flowers.
Now a tour of the city is almost as good as the Christmas lights tour.
I have one suggestion: put pumpkins in front of all the political signs.
There are numerous tombstones in the yards. The funniest one said “I told you I was sick.”
