Dike removal nearly done

The contractor has virtually completed all dike removal in the city, the Jamestown City Engineer’s Office said in a press release Monday. The crews are finishing up in the East Business Loop area this week, and may be finished by Wednesday, weather permitting.

The move came after officials found the water equivalent of snowpack upstream of the Jamestown and Pipestem dams to be less than in earlier forecasts.
