Devils even series: Brodeur stops 27 shots as New Jersey tops Rangers
Martin Brodeur made 27 saves and survived a third-period punch to the chest by old buddy Mike Rupp as the New Jersey Devils defeated the New York Rangers, 3-1, Monday night, evening the Eastern Conference Finals, 2-2.

The AAA Predators placed third out of 10 teams at the Mountain Dew Blast Tournament May 4-6 in St. Cloud, Minn. Team members are Braedan Kohn, Bryce Nelson, Connor Fuchs, Dawson Dietrich, Dylan Myers, Hunter Beckman, Hunter Lucas, Jacob Hannenman, Jay Buchholz, Baylee Hatlewick, Kyle Kleven, Hunter Rittenour, Robby Greicar, Cole Burkle and Matthew Schneider. Beckman, Greicar, Buchholz, Kleven, Lucas, Burkle, Nelson and Rittenour scored goals. Schneider had 89 saves in goal during the tournament.

UND cuts ties with Eades
Cary Eades, who has been at UND as a player and an assistant coach for nearly two decades, was let go by the school as the associate head coach of the men’s hockey team on Thursday.
UND announced the decision in a release, saying that head coach Dave Hakstol wanted to “redefine and restructure the roles and duties within our coaching staff.”

Former Sioux players litter NHL playoffs
Outside the UND men’s hockey locker room, there’s a piece of wall reserved for those who go on to win the Stanley Cup.
Right now, there are 12 plaques featuring 10 different former Sioux players who have won hockey’s ultimate prize. As of now, there’s plenty of room to add plaques if needed. And that might be a good thing the way this playoff season is going.
