Anyone looking for a job or internship in North Dakota can do so without leaving their home for the next few weeks. The North Dakota Department of Commerce is offering a virtual career and internship fair that will highlight internships and full-time jobs from 37 different companies in North Dakota.
KaSaundra Jones is working an internship as part of the Cooperative Education program at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn. Jones, a junior at Concordia, is the daughter of Bryan and Gloria Jones, Jamestown.
A Job and Internship Fair is planned from noon to 3 p.m. March 24 at the Nafus Student Center, Level 2, on the campus of Jamestown College. This fair is sponsored by the Jamestown College Career Center and is held in conjunction with the Backpack to Briefcase Student Conference.
Jessica Ault, a recent graduate of Jamestown College, has completed a legislative internship with Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., in his Washington office.
“Working for Sen. Dorgan was an honor,” Ault said. “I was given the opportunity to see firsthand how hard he works not only for the people of North Dakota, but America as a whole.
A recent graduate of the North Dakota State College of Science is NASCAR-bound.
Tyler Rapp is one of two automotive trade students in the country selected for a weeklong internship that will let him work alongside a pit crew for a NASCAR Nationwide Series race.
The fourth annual Community Job and Internship Fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 16 on the second floor of the Nafus Student Center at James-town College. Businesses seeking part-time or full-time workers or interns are encouraged to attend.
Internships are available the fall semester of 2008 in U.S. Sen. Byron Dorgan’s offices on Capitol Hill and in Bismarck and Fargo, but space is limited so students should apply soon.
