The Jamestown College women’s basketball team will have a new look on the court this season.
It won’t be the personnel — the Jimmies return five starters (actually, more than five starters) and have six seniors on the roster. And they have many of the same players who led JC to 20 wins and a trip to the national tournament last season coming back.
Heather Cellmer of Jamestown College was named to the all-Dakota Athletic Conference women’s golf team.
Cellmer, a freshman from Jamestown, was one of six players on the all-conference squad. She finished sixth in the conference standings, which are based on finishes in conference tournaments.
Kelly Roemmich won the 400 hurdles at the University of Mary Invite in Glendive, Mont., on Friday in the opening outdoor meet of the season.
Roemmich’s win was the only victory for the Jimmies, who had seven runner-up finishes in the seven-team meet, with four of the seconds coming from the women.
