John Thurn Jr. passed away at home in Jamestown, ND on Friday evening, October 1, 2010. He was 81 years old.
He was born to John F. and Pauline (Kaseman) Thurn in Eureka, SD on September 11, 1929. He grew up southwest of Wishek and graduated from Wishek High School in 1948, lettering in track and football.
John Schindler, gospel singer, will be in concert at Faith Evangelical Church, Crystal Springs, at 7 p.m. Sept. 17.
A deep baritone, Schindler has recorded eight CDs including the newly released “What A Day.” The concert will feature inspirational gospel music.
The Rev. John Damon, 92, Fessenden, N.D., died Friday, July 23, 2010, at St. Aloisius Nursing Home, Harvey, N.D.
The Rev. Damon was born Nov. 5, 1917, at Hastings, Iowa, the son of William and Dora (Gallagher) Damon.
John T. Hov, 98, McHenry, N.D., died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, N.D.
Mr. Hov was born Sept. 2, 1911, on the family farm in Paradise Township, Eddy County, rural McHenry, the son of Ole and Randina (Grafsgaard) Hov.
