Golf courses offer kids’ league
Golf is a lifelong sport in which athletes learn problem-solving, honesty and manners in addition to how to play the game.
That’s the philosophy of organizers of Sticks for Kids program, a summer golf league for children ages 8-18. Hillcrest golf course and Jamestown Country Club partnered for the league, giving students a chance to learn the rules and etiquette of the game as well as how to play both stroke and match play. The league begins June 13. Registration before June 1 is $10, after is $20.
