Voters in the Barnes County North Public School District will go to the polls for the second time in seven months to decide a school bond issue.

Prosecutors say a man convicted of raping two girls in 2004 should stay in prison because he failed to complete sex offender treatment.
Adalpe Leal is serving five years for raping the teenage girls while they were babysitting his girlfriend’s child. The sentence is being served along with a one-year sentence for a sexual assault involving a 17-year-old girl.
Mayor Dave Lokken Jr. didn’t have his name on last week’s election ballot, but he still won another term in Leal.
Lokken got enough write-in votes to keep the job of mayor in the town of about 36 people.
