A future land use plan designed to help Jamestown envision and guide future zoning decisions and city growth will be passed on to the Jamestown City Council for approval, the Jamestown Planning Commission decided Monday.
Though more than 100 community members attended Monday’s meeting, the Jamestown Public School Board voted 5-4 not to renew discussion about its April 25 decision not to hire the son of the Jamestown High School principal.
The Jamestown City Council will meet at 4 p.m. today at City Hall, 102 Third Ave. SE, to enter into an executive session with the city attorney to discuss territorial claims by Stutsman Rural Water District.
A motion to reconsider Stutsman County’s endorsement of the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp.’s agreement with Brian Lunde concerning the sale of the Buffalo City Grille died for a lack of a second at a special County Commission meeting Thursday.
In a special meeting Tuesday, the City Council voted 4-1 to take half of the city’s 1 percent sales tax for infrastructure improvements and extended the tax out to 2022.
