Bismarck’s Kirkwood Mall, the second-largest mall in North Dakota, has a new owner.
MetLife spokesman Chris Breslin told the Bismarck Tribune that the 41-year-old mall owned by the MetLife Insurance Co. since 1987 was bought by New York-based Radiant Partners. The company invests in malls, office buildings and other commercial properties.
Bismarck’s Kirkwood Mall is up for sale.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that the sales brochure does not list an asking price, and a spokesman for the broker declined comment. The city puts the property’s market value at just under $58 million.
The Eagles Ladies Auxiliary will be serving walking tacos at the Buffalo Mall from 10 a.m. 3:30 p.m. Saturday for Home on the Range and other local charities. The group will be set up by the KMart entrance. Cost is $3 for walking tacos, $2 for hotdogs and $1 for pop or water.
MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) — The Mitchell Aquatic Club's aboveground pool has collapsed, making 85,000 gallons of water gush onto Main Street and into a strip mall, where at least two stores reported flood damage.
The owner of a Bismarck mall who is being sued by former store owners also faces lawsuits in California.
Court documents filed by insurers in California accuse Raymond Arjmand of insurance fraud, racketeering and bilking tenants. The lawsuits involve malls in Woodland and Lancaster.
A former tenant of the Gateway Fashion Mall in Bismarck has sued the mall.
JAJ Ventures is accusing the mall of fraud, breach of contract and racketeering. JAJ Ventures owned the Joy’s Hallmark and Gelato D’Italia which used to lease at the mall.
After a delay and new management, Anytime Fitness is set to open at the Buffalo Mall, officials said.
An Anytime Fitness Corp. franchise was expected to open at the Buffalo Mall in October 2007. The former manager at that time solicited memberships in James-town, but never opened.
