Two years later, Whitney Carlson is still a thorn in Kristen Killoran’s side. The Maple Valley-Enderlin senior came up with another big performance in the Class B girls’ long jump at the North Dakota state track meet at the Bismarck Community Bowl on Friday. But she still came up an inch away from the state overall record set by the Carrington star in 2006. “It’s kind of frustrating, and that’s the second time now,” Killoran said with a laugh. “But to lose by an inch to a girl like Whitney isn’t bad.
