The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit Thursday against the U.S. Border Patrol seeking to bar agents from making traffic stops, saying people are being pulled over and questioned for the way they look and without reasonable suspicion.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol Southeast Region will conduct an alcohol saturation event this weekend in Dickey County. In conjunction with the alcohol saturation event, a sobriety checkpoint will be conducted at an undisclosed location and time Friday in Dickey County.
When waters are rising on the ground the North Dakota Civil Air Patrol is in the sky — keeping emergency management officials across the state up to date on a day-to-day basis.
“We can provide the state, the communities and our fellow North Dakotans with a good overview of what’s going on out there,” said Bill Kay, North Dakota CAP wing commander.
DICKINSON, N.D. – The North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to six rollover vehicle crashes on Interstate 94 Thursday morning and six vehicles driving into the median in this area, Sgt. Daniel Haugen said.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol will join law enforcement agencies throughout the state as part of a life-saving enforcement effort. From Nov. 11 through Nov. 20, troopers will join more than 60 other law-enforcement agencies for a ‘Click It or Ticket’ mobilization. Seat belt and child restraint laws will be strictly enforced.
The Southeast Region of the North Dakota Highway Patrol cited 145 in a special emphasis Wednesday and Thursday focused on right-of-way violations.
Troopers also arrested three drivers for driving under suspension, one for DUI and one for drug paraphernalia.
