The tribal chair candidate who finished third in the primary election on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation wants a tribal court judge to decide whether she should have another chance to be on the September ballot.
A candidate for the top leadership post on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation says she hasn’t decided whether to contest the results of the tribe’s primary election.
Vice Chairwoman Avis Little Eagle lost out on one of the top two spots in the primary by one vote. Only the top two vote-getters move on to the Sept. 30 general election.
Hillary Rodham Clinton is ending her historic bid to become the first female president and will back rival Barack Obama on Saturday, capping a 17-month quest that began with the words “I’m in it to win it” with a more humble plea for party unity.
