The Energy and Environmental Research Center is a spectacular asset for North Dakota. Two sentences from the center’s website explain why:
First, “the EERC’s staff is a multidisciplinary team of more than 345 highly skilled scientists, engineers and support personnel representing more than 120 different disciplines, making it one of the world’s leading developers of energy and environmental technologies.”
And second, “research (at the EERC) represents 45 percent of the total externally funded research at UND.”
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota is warning consumers about a company moving into the area that’s making big promises on the Web that might be too good to be true.
Archaeologists have discovered a new pyramid under the sands of Saqqara, an ancient burial site that has yielded a string of unearthed pyramids in recent years but remains largely unexplored.
The 4,300-year-old monument most likely belonged to the queen mother of the founder of Egypt’s 6th Dynasty, and was built several hundred years after the famed Great Pyramids of Giza, antiquities chief Zahi Hawass told reporters in announcing the find Tuesday.
