Korean-Vietnam veteran reunion set

The 20th Annual North Dakota Korean-Vietnam Veterans Reunion and Commemoration will be held this weekend at the Jamestown All-Vets Club. The event includes veterans who were on active duty for the two wars and Canadian veterans. Veterans’ spouses and guests are also invited.

JHS Class of 1965 holds reunion

The 43-year reunion of Jamestown High School Class of 1965 in conjunction with Jamestown’s 125th Anniversary Celebration was held July 4 at the Bunker. Forty-nine of the original class of 235 and 21 spouses attended. Shirley Skattum and Patti Peterson were at the registration table. John Allickson and Barry Buchholtz were in charge of sound and music.

Girl Scout Troop 40 has reunion

Girl Scout Troop 40 held its 43-year reunion at the home of Charlotte and Gordon Hansen at their invitation on July 5. Eleven of the 18 Girl Scouts who graduated from Jamestown High School together as Troop 40 attended. They are all class of 1965 graduates. Jo-Ida Hansen took charge of the arranging of the reunion, which included a luncheon followed by a birthday cake (in Girl Scout colors) for Gordon Hansen in celebration of his birthday. Girl Scout songs were sung.

St. John’s Academy, JHS classes of 1958 hold reunion

The St. John’s Academy and Jamestown High School classes of 1958 celebrated their 50th class reunions on July 4-6. They met at the KC hall Friday evening for dinner, photos, enjoying the special edition 50th reunion “Memory Book,” and socializing. A special “music of the ’50s” collection of classmate Darrell Fairfield was played. Following this gathering many of the group took in the fireworks at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds.
