The Rev. Don Richman, a former associate pastor of Trinity Lutheran, 523 Fourth Ave. S.E., Jamestown, will be the guest pastor on Sunday. He will speak at the 8:30 and 10 a.m. services. There will be an opportunity for fellowship with him between services and at lunch after the second service for those who wish to join him at a downtown restaurant.
The Rev. Don Richman, Bloomington, Minn., formerly of Jamestown, will be the guest speaker during the adult education hour at New Hope Free Lutheran Church. Richman is the founding director of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations Eastern European Missions.
This is a tale of gratitude.
It’s also a tale of reunion, faith and healing.
It’s about two little boys, now grown men, who were influenced by a dynamic young teacher.
So much so that nearly 50 years later, these former students at Fargo’s Roosevelt Elementary remember her with an awe usually reserved for sports heroes.

Alice Williams presided at a recent meeting of the Jamestown Hospital Auxiliary with 18 members present. Marty Richman reported that road construction was beginning at the new hospital site. He described the new technology utilized at the hospital including the HUG system in the nursery and a higher resolution CAT scan unit in radiology. Nurses may soon have a new communication system that will save time and steps.
Jeffrey Richman, son of Cindie and Martin Richman of Jamestown, will graduate from the Ross School of Business, University of Mich-igan, Ann Arbor, re-ceiving a Master in business administration on May 1.
Marty Richman, president and chief executive officer of Jamestown Hospital, along with Cindy Goehner, director of clinical services, and Bill Kennedy, marketing director, updated Rotary members on the proposed new hospital to be located along Interstate 94 near the bypass. Richman said, according to the timetable, they hope to have the site and drawings approved, and be building a new hospital within three years. The site will also include a clinic or space for the three clinics currently in Jamestown. After numerous studies and focus groups, it was important that a new building be considered.
