Six eighth-graders at Bowbells Public School learned how to sew the high-tech way.
Their family and consumer science teacher, Valerie Aho, demonstrated sewing techniques from a television studio at MLS-Mohall High School about 35 miles away. Volunteers from the community stood by in the Bowbells classroom to help youngsters whose thread tangled in the machine or who couldn’t figure out how to sew a stitch.
