St. James Ladies ready for their Spring Social
The annual St. James Ladies Spring Social will celebrate with a baby shower in honor of the St. Gianna Maternity home at Warsaw, N.D. Women of the parish and neighboring parishes are invited to join in the potluck supper that begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the St. James Parish Center in Jamestown.

Geffre speaking on love at basilica
“Jesus, the Source of Love,” will be the topic for the Feb. 14 presentation at St. James Basilica, 622 First Ave. S., Jamestown. Beginning at 7 p.m. in the basilica, Deacon Tom Geffre will help participants understand why and how to respond to God in the Blessed Sacrament. Individuals, teens and families are invited to celebrate Valentine’s Day learning about this aspect of the Catholic faith.

Wiest keeps the Nativity mobile at Catholic church

Chimbote choir performing at St. James Basilica
The Rev. Jack Davis’ award-winning choir from Chimbote, Peru, is on tour in the United States and will perform at St. James Basilica in Jamestown Tuesday. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. following worship at 5:15 and a potluck dinner at about 6:15 in the Parish Center. The public is invited to the potluck.
