The men of Trinity Lutheran Church, along with much help from the women of Trinity, will be holding the 44th annual Lutefisk and Meatball Supper in the church fellowship hall from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The meal will be served family style. In addition to the Norwegian lutefisk and Swedish meatballs, the meal will include potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, cranberries, buns, lefse, coffee and ice cream desert.
The Woodworth ELCA will hold its fall chicken supper from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 2 in the church basement. The meal will be fried chicken with all the trimmings. The cost for the supper is $8 for adults and $5 for children.
The bazaar will consist of homemade baked goods, garden produce and craft items. A raffle is also planned.
The men of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will host a pancake and all-beef sausage supper today at the church.
The meal will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the church, 1000 Fifth Ave. N.E. Tickets are $6 for individuals and $15 per family. Anyone age 6 or younger eats for free.
The Jamestown Optimist Club will be having its annual Spaghetti Supper in conjunction with the Sport and Recreation Show from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Jamestown Civic Center Exchequer Room.
Tickets are $4 for students, $7 for adults and preschool are free. All proceeds go to benefit local youth projects.
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1000 Fifth Ave. N.E., Jamestown, will be having a German supper at 6 p.m. Oct. 9. A limited number of tickets are available. For more information or to pick up tickets, call St. Paul’s at 252-3088.
Jamestown’s Boy Scout Troop 134 will be holding a chili supper from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 9 at First United Methodist Church, 115 Third St. S.E., Jamestown.
Ticket prices are $6 per person or $18 per family. Children under age 5 are free.
Tickets may be purchased from any Troop 134 Boy Scout or at the door.
St. Boniface Ladies Altar Society, Wimbledon, will be hosting its annual church supper on Oct. 11, with serving from 4 to 7 p.m.
The menu will consist of turkey and all the trimmings, buffet style.
Admission is adults $8, grade school $4 and preschool free.
There will also be a bazaar and a raffle.
The Buffalo Supper Committee met on April 16 at the Streeter Memorial Hall to discuss plans for the 50th anniversary of the annual buffalo supper, set for Oct. 30. American Legion Commander Bud Goldsmith presided over the meeting. El Ray Fercho presented suggestions for memorabilia. Other ideas were discussed.
The James River Humane Society has rescheduled its spaghetti supper fundraiser.
