Sykeston Days in this town of not even 200 begins Friday with a steak and shrimp dinner, organizers said.
The goal of the event is to raise money for Sykeston’s cafe and park, said Cindy Tweed, who lives just outside the town.

It will be followed by a tractor, car, pickup and motorcycle show at 1 p.m., bingo at 2 p.m., mechanical bull riding from 4 to 8 p.m., a commemorative gun auction at 6 p.m. and a street dance from 8:30 to 12:30.
