Several parents concerned about cutting students from athletic programs attended the Jamestown Public School Board’s regular meeting Monday.
Parents Margo Haut and Shelly Jystad approached the board at the meeting as well as at a previous meeting. Students need opportunities to get involved, they said.
Kenrad Pederson introduced Eileen Lisko, Brenda Peterson and Carol Arnold, members of the Jamestown Area Grief Support Team, who spoke at the Kiwanis noon luncheon meeting at the Lantern Room April 13.
Lisko said the team has been helping meet the needs of the grieving since 2002.
Josh and Niki Nelson purchased The Tax Team from Bob Wahlund on Jan. 1. Niki Nelson previously worked as a tax preparer for Wahlund.
Wahlund has owned The Tax Team in Valley City, N.D., since 1992. He opened the Jamestown office in July 2007. It is located at 110 Ninth St. S.W., across the street from First Community Credit Union.
He said the tax preparation and bookkeeping business serves more than 900 clients around the Valley City and Jamestown area.
