PHILADELPHIA — Passengers aboard a US Airways flight that arrived Friday from Scotland were removed from the plane because of a threatening note, and the plane was taken to another part of Philadelphia International Airport to be inspected.

BISMARCK (AP) — A man accused of threatening employees of a Bismarck bar with a knife has been sentenced to 1 1/2 years in prison.
Court documents show that 29-year-old Joshua Vonachen pleaded guilty to felony terrorizing.
A Superior man accused of holding his girlfriend as a virtual prisoner for more than a year before breaking her jaw appeared Monday in Douglas County Circuit Court.
Anthony J. Machones, 23, also threatened to shoot the woman’s father, according to the criminal complaint. Machones faces felony charges of false imprisonment, threats to injure and substantial battery and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. A second status conference was scheduled for March 29.

According to Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen, someone was upset about being charged $175 in fees and told the the Associated Bank branch office to “watch its back.”
