JHS to sell activity season tickets

Jamestown High School will be selling activity season tickets beginning Monday for drama productions and all home sporting events except for the holiday tournaments and play-off tournaments. The tickets can be purchased at the high school office, the superintendent’s office or by contacting the activity director.

Tickets available for Jamestown College’s Dine and Bid event

Tickets are available for “Under the Big Top,” Jamestown College’s 24th annual Dine and Bid dinner and benefit auction planned for April 17, at the Larson Center on the campus of Jamestown College. All proceeds raised go toward Jamestown College student scholarships. The circus-themed event features a dinner catered by Aramark, valet parking, entertainment, live and silent auctions, and a chance to win grand prizes.

Wolves cutting season-ticket prices

The struggling Minnesota Timberwolves don’t want to lose any more support. During March, the Wolves will cut their 2010-11 season ticket prices by up to 50 percent in the arena’s lower level. The team printed it as part of a full-page ad on the back of the sports section in Monday’s Star Tribune newspaper with a letter from President David Kahn.

The Jamestown Police Department issued 12 warning tickets for violations of the city’s snow route ordinance over the weekend. “It’s a learning curve,” said Dave Donegan, Jamestown police chief. “As soon as we’re confident people know where they shouldn’t park during snow emergencies we’ll start issuing tickets.”
