Last week, The Jamestown Sun asked readers of its website the question “Did you attend the North Dakota Winter Show, which ran from March 6 to 11 in Valley City, N.D.?” Here are the results of the unscientific survey:
The North Dakota Winter Show has a new manager.
KOVC radio reports that Dawn Riley has been working in business management and marketing for Minnesota-based Lorex Corp. Her husband, Jerry, works at the Great River Energy plant at Spiritwood.
The final preparations are under way for 74th annual edition of the North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City. The events get underway with “warm-up” events on Monday and the official open of the show slated for 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Many of the old favorites will be part of the North Dakota Winter Show when it opens its doors today in Valley City.
“Mostly we stay with the things that are tried and true,” said Nancy Allen, manager of the Winter Show. “But there are new ag seminars and we are accommodating some new entertainment and some new ideas.”
The ninth annual North Star Classic Livestock Show is fast approaching and will be held at the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center in Valley City Dec. 4-7. One of the largest cattle shows in the State, the North Star Classic offers a variety of activities for all ages.
