Jamestown’s long-awaited sewer project starts July 8 and residents can expect some inconveniences as streets are torn up. The sanitary sewer system construction will start in the 300, 400 and 500 blocks of Third Avenue Northwest, said Darrell Hournbuckle, project engineer for Interstate Engineering. The Jamestown Regional Airport Authority approved a contract Wednesday with Interstate Engineering to design a new hangar building. At its regular meeting Wednesday the board reviewed revised plans for the proposed hangar, which would house anywhere from 8 to 12 bays for commercial and general aviation airplanes.
