Heritage Center to feature concert
A civil-war themed concert, "Gettysburg: A Patriotic Salute," will be performed by the West River Winds and assisted by a 200-member community chorus at 7:30 p.m. July 1 at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck.
This free concert commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg will take place at the Badlands Plaza at the north entrance. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
The Gettysburg concert is directed by Ernest Borr of the West River Winds, with assistance from John Darling-associate director, and Bismarck choral directors Tom Porter and Vicki Boechler. Music will include "Dixie," "Battle Hymn of the Republic," "America The Beautiful," "The Stars and Stripes March," and "Amazing Grace."
