Music/Comedy/ Drama

The musical “Grease” will be presented by the Jamestown High School Advanced Theatre Arts group at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, June 26-27, in the JHS Theatre. Admission: $7 for adults, $5 for students.

Acoustic bluegrass jam sessions are from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays at Frontier Village in the church building. Musicians of all skill levels welcome; no admission charge. Sponsor: Bluegrass Association of North Dakota.

A Wild West shootout is planned at 3 p.m. Saturday at Frontier Village. Freewill donations encouraged.

A free parks program for children ages 6-12 is offered at Meidinger, McElroy, Nickeus and Leapaldt parks from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Activities include arts, crafts, games and more. Sponsor: Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department. Parents are responsible for transportation.

The Foster County Fair is June 24-26 in Carrington. Entertainment includes the Mighty Thomas Carnival, Tigirlily performing June 24, 176 Keys Fun Pianos on June 25 and Gwen Sebastian and Claire Dunn performing at the Fair Dance on June 26.



National Buffalo Museum hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day through Labor Day weekend. Admission: $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and AAA members, $10 for a family and $1 for children ages 6 to 18.

The Arts Center, 115 2nd St. SW, Jamestown, is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday or by appointment. There is no admission charge.

The Kirkpatrick Art Gallery, located in Frontier Village, Jamestown, is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from May 24-Sept. 30. No admission charge.

The Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile Historic Site near Cooperstown is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Linda Whitney’s exhibit, “The Space between History and Hollywood,” is on display at the Arts Center through today. Admission is free. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Kenneth Andersen’s large format black and white film photography exhibit opens at the Arts Center June 26 and runs through July 26. No admission charge.
