Salvation Army hosting ministry
The Happiness Four Ministry will hold special evangelistic meetings at the Salvation Army, 320 First Ave. N., in Jamestown from Sunday through Wednesday. Sunday worship is planned at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Songs, testimonies, devotions, prayer, special services, visitations and pastoral care are planned.
The Happiness Four Ministry consists of a family, the Magnusons. The Magnuson family immigrated to the United States from Sweden, and now live in Mora, Minn. For the past 31 years the family has traveled around the country in full-time service, sharing the Gospel through a Christ-centered message, music and ministry. The ministry is interdenominational, meaning that the family will travel wherever the doors are open to do so.
The Happiness Four started in 1968, when three brothers and one sister started singing in their father's church. After moving to the U.S.A. in 1972, the ministry continued on a part-time basis until Feb. 12, 1979, when God called the whole family to full-time ministry. In August 1983, Sam (oldest brother) died, in July 1996, Dave (middle brother) died and in November 2007 Bertil (father) died. Noomie (sister) now lives in Minnesota with her family and is still a part of the ministry. At this time The Happiness Four consists of Mike (youngest brother) who is the leader and shares in singing and testimony and Mona (mom). Mike's wife, Lynette, also shares her testimony of God's faithfulness in her life.
