Events planned for Carrington pastor, wife
The Franchuks are moving to South Dakota to be closer to family.
Calvary’s annual Harvest Mission Service will take place during the regular Sunday morning workshop hour, which begins at 10:30 a.m. A special offering, going entirely to North American Baptist Conference Missions will be collected during the service. Taylor Franchuk, who is a seminary student at Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago and the son of the Rev. Loren and Lenore Franchuk, will deliver the morning message with an emphasis on urban missions.
Following the Harvest Mission Service, Calvary’s traditional Harvest Mission potluck meal will be shared.
At 2:30 p.m. that same day, a special farewell service is planned with music and comments from the community. A cake reception will follow.
A special invitation is extended to the community to attend these events.
Calvary’s regular church services include Sunday school classes for all ages from preschool through adult (with three adult classes) at 9:30 a.m., and regular Sunday morning worship at 10:30. All are welcome.
An interim pastor will shepherd the Calvary flock as they seek a new full-time pastor.
